A Quick Stroll Down Memory Lane...

Hey, iwaki, you're going to love this one (and so is my dear Reddy-kins, for that matter, whenever the hell she gets back online to check up on this and our other friends ^^): Remember how just last night I was reminiscing about how Vincent x Cid was very my first "pet" yaoi couple after discovering the existence of the genre, and you joined me in on the nostalgia bandwagon?

Well, a few hours after you left, I hit tws_support to catch up on replies to threads and stuff, and I came face to face with the default icon of one of the lurkers who've friended the comm:

*grins* Isn't it PRECIOUS? It warms the very cockles of my jaded bitchy little heart. I expectially LOVE the little arrow pointing at Cid with "short" written on the other end at the beginning. And the "*dies*" part. PRICELESS. XD XD XD

I later realized that girl's also a member of marysues, because she found a full set of Earthbound Mary Sues/Gary Stus and posted them today, and not only does she actually remember that game and is a fan, but she also saw that odd bit of yaoi potential it had! *DIES* XD

Jesus, I think I love this woman already. <3333333



Oh yeah, and I've yet to go see the movie myself, but I also found this off of the MSR and thought you (as well as almost everyone else who reads this ^_^) might want it, or pass it along to your friends, since it's swishy gay pirate screencap-captioning parody fic and all:

...my only complaint is that the whole tight ass issue was never literally brought up in the story. Bad author, bad! I want my money back! ;)

Oh, when I told Miss zarla over in tws_support how much I loved it and how it was SO TRUE, she quite openly pleaded guilty of having written those kinds of fics before, and that was precisely why she came up with the script for the animation like that.

...I really love people with a sense of humor like that. :D




(I also asked her if she ever wrote uke!Cid fic in my reply to her reply. She's yet to leave me a reply for that, though. ^_-)

...Momentarily, anyway! Yes, I LOVE that, Rora... and it is BEAUTIFULLY TRUE, as that pairing did only come in those four flavors.

Mine was pineapple the first. And I'm not afraid to admit it. :D
