...there are few things more amusing in the world than hearing your non-cartoon-watching mother hum the "bawk-bawk-bawk-bawk" ending theme to Robot Chicken in time with the tune playing on the TV. XD
Oh yeah, and did you hear the news? Lik-Sang got put out of business by Sony! (http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_lounge/376789.html)
Thought maybe you'd wanna know, since you import stuff every once in a while (like that Pokémon game that came out a few weeks back/last month). Sad. ;_;
I know, I just heard! lbd_nytetrayn, Red Draco's hubby, likes to do a daily round-up of gaming news, and I just happened to hear about it that way... That really, really sucks! Lik-Sang was such a great site... I guess there's still Play-Asia, but how long will they stick around? Is any import site safe? I wonder if they can appeal this decision...
Sony is just putting the nail in their coffin of public opinion, if you ask me... Next thing you know, they'll be making more racist billboards about how they're making the world safer for consumers by nixxing imports. Thanks Sony, for thinking we're so damn stupid we can't figure out things like foreign video formats and power sources...
But yeah... I guess this Pokemon game will be a momento of sorts. My last ever import from Lik-Sang! Sniff...
I suppose Play-Asia could avoid trouble if they stuck to only selling Nintendo stuff and nix their Sony imports, though that would hurt their business a bit. As for getting Sony imports, it looks like you'll just have to turn to eBay from now on. Suck.
Oh yeah, and OT, but could I ask you for a favor? Could you enter this contest/send-in order form for a Tokunaga plush for me? ^^; (http://tales.namco.com/abyss/contest_main.php) See, both the contest and the send-in orders are void in three states and also not available here in PR, so I can't do it myself. Oh yeah, and you're allowed to enter each once, so if you wind up getting two Tokunaga plushies, you can just send me one and keep the other - maybe you can eBay it if you don't want it for yourself or as a gift for someone else. :D
Or there's the Hawaii-based ToysNJoys.com, if you don't mind paying slightly more ridiculous prices (especially for shipping -- though I usually get the next-day shipping since it's gonna cost so much anyway). But geez, this doesn't even make sense!! Isn't the PS3 supposed to be region-free?
Okay, I'll try sending away for one soon! I'll let you know once I do!
According to someone from the link (http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_lounge/376789.html?thread=6387925#t6387925) I gave you:
"Only in-house PS3 games are guaranteed to be region-free, everything else is up to the publishers - exactly like with the Xbox and 360, and look how many region free games are available for those consoles."
So, it's going to vary from game to game. That's going to be kinda annoying - you won't know what you can import until you try it yourself or ask around.
Anyway, thanks for checking out the plushie thing for me. Squee! *hug* I don't know how to thank you for it just yet, but I'm sure I'll figure something out! :D
