First off, a link from Fandom_Lounge: What games have had a baddie that completely pwned you? The discussion's kinda winding down by now, but still, very fun read. :D


Also on the subject of gaming, I have finally broken my hiatus and started futilely trying to catch up with the gaming world again after months of not playing anything OH GOD MY GAME BACKLOG O_o;; playing anew by picking up the first Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (which I've had since at least last year, but had never played ^^;;).

I'm only on the second case, but thus far I like it - it has a good mix of humor and seriousness as far as I've gotten. Thoughts on it thus far (mild spoilers):

- Phoenix makes the most amusing faces whenever he's in a bind. Very expressive character - I like him.
- I haven't gotten to the actual gaygayGAY parts people talk about, but the characters thus far have been pretty... colorful in other ways, too. XD
- Great lines from the get-go. I had to laugh at "I find the witness' testimony to be quite... firm" bit from the judge in regards to April May. XD
- I was seriously NOT expecting them to off Mia on the very second chapter! :O Oh man, and I kinda liked her, too. :(
- I also did NOT expect that Phoenix would wind up getting accused of the crime and would have to defend himself! Oh man, it's going to be so freaking satisfying whenever I get around to continuing the chapter and get to pwn Edgeworth in the trial, hee.

And that's about it, for now. More thoughts on the game whenever I get around to playing some more.

...Either I'm the only one who got flattened by Skieth in .hack//Outbreak, or nobody else will admit to playing it. I'm not sure which is worse. XD

(That thread was a refreshing change from the usual "lol i beat everything in 1 turn its easy or u suck" teenage machismo of most gaming discussions online. Thanks.)

*LOL* I've actually seen the .hack series mentioned in threads there before (Actually, I think someone brought up a .hack//G.U. boss in the second page of comments.), so at least one person there's admitting to playing them. XD

As for me, I've only beaten .hack//Infection (Though I do have all 4 games, as well as the 2 G.U. games [which I totally got because the completist in me demanded it as well as the fact that I'm kinda liking what I've seen of .hack//Roots... ^^;] - I WILL get around to playing all of them someday, I swear! ^^;;), so I don't know the boss you speak of yet. Someday, someday I'll get to it and will get back to you on that. XD

And yeah, that thread was a lot better than GameFAQs the average fan discussion. I ♥ Fandom_Lounge. :D

Ah, okay, good to know I haven't missed any of the HOMOHOMO subtext yet. Looking forward to sitting down with the game some more... tomorrow, hopefully. :D

As arcian says--it's not until trial 4 when you're like... AFOEKORKWKSFOK! Buttsex?!

I had a different friend tell me it was quite gay, and didn't believe her until that trial. So no, you're not missing any subtext. :D

Anyway, I'm glad you're playing! I think I'm going to sit down with game 2 for a bit, now. :D
