Our geekdom has been vindicated!

Well, by one guy, at least. ^^;;

But really, before I got into the whole doujinshi thing (Note to self - Still need to make site. ^^;;), I didn't have any real collecting habits. So yes, I know what it's like to be on the other side and just sorta scoff at the whole idea. I guess it's just that I hadn't found the "right" hobby to get absorbed in. I still don't collect or obsess on the level that some of the really die-hard hobbyists do, but that's mainly due to the fact that I don't have the kind of resources (or the knowledge of Japanese) to get to learn about the genre as they can. I'm happy learning what I can despite that, even though it'd be nice to be able to see things like doujin-cons in person someday. *_*

Finally, a new air conditioner for my room was bought today, and Junior (my deceased cousin's hubby) is installing it right now. w00t, no more feeling melty when playing games! *JOY*

Just came back from taking Juanfe to the post office. There were two packages for him that have been delayed like forever, since apparently he has bad luckwith the postal service - seems like gets all the mailmen too lazy to do the actual deliveries and leave those "Oops, we missed you!" slips for you. Bad thing was, those two went missing for so long because he was left no such slips. Bleah, I say. At least we got to have lunch at Subway and chat for a while afterwards.

Anyway...

Good? Me? Hardly. My writing can't kick ass all ninja-like and take names like yours (or that of [livejournal.com profile] azusa, [livejournal.com profile] jurhael, [livejournal.com profile] irksnapple, [livejournal.com profile] rikoshi, [livejournal.com profile] lyria, and a bunch of other people we know or stalk, for that matter), but I guess it can at least do the job of communicating the idea I'm attempting to convey. Besides, I've only like RPed and stuff (Yes, how long HAS it been? Maybe we should resurrect that sometime. We all need some Gaavpr0n in our lives, after all. >D), I've yet to write an actual story. ^^;

So people, don't listen to her! She is too humble of her skills, and is attempting to keep you from reading her stuff by making claims about me! XD

And d00d, you didn't know Azu had an LJ account? Silly you. XD As for Diaryland, you'd be surprised: That's probably the more easily customizable of the two online journal types (examples: our own dear Piper, and for a slightly more graphics-intensive one [plus comments ability AND she even added a "currents" thing at the bottom], r00). I'm no expert, but I could probably figure out how to at least list all your pals' journals below the "sidebar" imagemap and thus have them all handy every time you check your own journal (and for your readers), if you like. ^^

As for the roommate thing, I think I'd be the quiet sort too, at first. I get mildly anxious when speaking to a total stranger at first, though I'm not wholly unable to communicate like she sounds. Then again, I know you for a pretty long time now, so if I ever met you in person, I'd probably start blabbering like an idiot. Well, at least after I get over the awed disbelief part during the first 5 minutes or so. ^.^;

In other random news and fun linkage, I got this off Alruhi-sempai's (aka [livejournal.com profile] jurhael) blog: Don't Save Karyn. Sheer brilliance. I mean, that woman has a lot of fucking nerve. But that's something I already ranted about, not to mention someone else already ranted about it far better than I could.

Later now. Junior's almost done, and I need to take mom to the grocery store shortly.
