Getting lazy on updating once more, aren't I? And usually when I actually have something to note. Oh well, I'll get used to a regular posting rhythym, eventually. ^^;;

Anyway, I took mom to the supermarket a couple of hours ago, and it would've been a pretty average trip if it weren't for one unusual finding while browsing the shelves. In fact, I'd dare say this is one of my greatest local findings EVAR.

So, mom and I were browsing the breads-'n-cookies section (well, she was browsing, I was more like spacing out while listening to the CD burn I made of the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack) when one word on a particular package caught my eye.

It turned out to be a pack of chocolate cookies with chocolate filling by a local(?) company called Noel.

The name of this particular brand: Tosh.

"Chocolate Tosh," to be precise, since they have other cookies under this label as well.

Insert insane bout of giggles and perverted mental imagery here.

And now, for a breakdown of the package. Unfortunately, no pictures, as I didn't have a camera handy or anything:

The package itself was pretty drab and nondescript - green and yellow (instead of a more "signature" color combination like pink and/or red with black), non-flashy font for the name. I suppose in the end, it's proper to an extent, since from the extra labels on the package it seems that they're marketed as "health" cookies, like a ghetto version of Snackwell's (which is also probably appropiate in a way, seeing as how Tosh isn't of a particularly refined background).

If anyone's wondering about the labels advertising these culinary masterpieces, they were in Spanish (of course) and said the following:

-"86% fat free" (That's probably a fair estimate. Just look at that body!)

-"25% less sugar than other brands" (Less sugar, more beefcake?)

-"0% cholesterol" (Alcohol per volume = 100% proof, though.)

Unfortunately, I was not able to examine the other cookies (vanilla [maybe at first, since I'm sure once you get him going....], ajonjolĂ [I have NO idea what this is called in English - it looks kind of like sesame seeds, though], and honey [mmm, truly an appropiate word to describe Tosh...], according to the price tags on the rack) offered under this label, due to the fact that there were none available at the time. In fact, there were only three or four packages of Chocolate Tosh left, which only leads me to believe that gun-toting ninjas with MAD SKILLZ got there before me and took all they could carry heightens the mystery and fascination with these snacks.

Hmm, perhaps I should buckle under pressure and buy one of these packages to scan, and send a few of the cookies to [livejournal.com profile] chaoscheebs, [livejournal.com profile] absalom, and any of my other AtL-loving pals, if only for the obvious fun in getting to say that we ate Tosh, teehee. >D

Oh yeah, in other (belated news), I got some Wild Arms doujinshi in the mail back on Wednesday afternoon - two WA1 doujin that I'm DEFINITELY keeping (one just cute fluff, the second being both cute gags [including an appearance by Zed! <3] and a lot of sweet [and amusing] Rudy x Jane moments ^^), and one short, kinda bittersweet WA2 book about Lilka's feelings for Ashley, which I haven't decided what to do with yet (Art's fairly nice and I'm tempted to keep it, but on the other hand I really should start trimming down my collection...). I shall now sit at a corner to preen and pat myself on the back for having caught a good deal when I saw it. ^^

Tosh cookies?!

Too bad about Shu steal- er, there only being 3 or 4 Chocolate Toshs left. But...

Wait, did you say Wild Arms? O_O

*LOL*Your attention span and fangirlishness is making it a tough choice, huh? XD

I'm still tempted to get a camera and take pictures. Preferably now with the the rack hopefully still empty, just as evidence of the ninja raid so you can wonder at the enigma.

Which do you mean, the Tosh cookies or the doujin? ;)

Though really, now I'm thinking of ways to incorporate the concept of Tosh as an edible into daily life. Like "oh, go eat Tosh!" instead of "shut up!" and yelling "eat Tosh, you bastards!" instead of "eat dirt!" or "die!" when beating boss monsters in games. XD

The one drawback (or upside, depending on your point of view) is that people being told this might be a mite too willing to take the comment to heart. Poor Tosh. >D
