It's finally in my hands! My copy of Wild Arms: ACF. *hugs it*

The guy at the store at first got confused and thought I was asking for Wild Arms 4, and told me they didn't have it, but then called me back when he realized his mistake. But anyway, WOOHOO WILD ARMS!

I also preordered my copy of Wild Arms 4 while I was at it.

Had to resist the temptation of picking up Dragon Quest 8 to find out what the big deal is about with that series (Yeah, I've never played a DQ game. OH NOES I LOSE RPG GAMER CRED!), even though the fact that it has a demo copy of Final Fantasy 12 makes it extra appealing. Oh well, maybe next week?

But anyway, off to play WA. *ZOOM!*

My game's in and I'm going to get it after my nephew goes home. If you hear an "EEEE!!" from the direction of Indiana, you know where it came from.

Thus far, not bad. I've played all three of the prologue scenarios, and it's pretty much the same as the original WA in terms of dialogue.

They did get rid of the Mystic ability, though. No more abusing the berries and carrots. Phoo. :/

I do have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] ruaki about the graphics looking a bit dated compared to what some of the other stuff that can be bought nowadays, though. And the opening animation isn't as smooth as WA3's was (Still, it did have Zed though, that was a plus. XD). But still, it's WA, so JOY! :D

No Mystic? ;_;

What did they put in place of it? Or did they cut an ability from everyone?

Personally, I just wanted them to keep in the item duplication glitch from the original ^_~
I duplicated every important item. Like Sherrifs Star, Ambrosia, Duplicator keys, Goat Dolls, and some other stuff :D Good times :P

Well, Cecilia's first Force ability is now summoning Guardians (or as they call it, "Material"). There are still four Force levels, though, so I imagine they still have four Force abilities total. I just don't know what the rest are yet.

Jack still has Accelerate (which now actually makes Fast Draws stronger as well as giving him the first turn in battle) and Rudy still has Lock On as their respective 1st Force level abilities.

I don't think they kept the item duplication trick this time. Which is a damn shame, I liked abusing that too, heh. XD
