You know, I'm glad I gave the Shin-chan anime a chance. The first episode wasn't that amusing, but the ones after it have succeeded in bringing the funny. Granted, a few of the jokes are going to be SUPREMELY dated in a few years' time, but the others are good on their own. And yeah, there's obviously a lot of liberties being taken with the translation, but it's still pretty solid overall.

Anyway, it's a pretty fun, if (extremely) juvenile series. I like.

Haha, yeah! I love Shin-Chan! The first episode I saw didn't grab me either (only saw the last few minutes of it), but the next one had Shin mistakingly believing his friend Mazo was in love with him. That one was priceless! They really got some awesome voice acting for this show.

Kinda reminds me of Duel Masters, a show that REALLY takes its liberties with the script and is almost a total farce.

I liked that one line Shin's mom said in reaction to Shin asking for an allowance: "No, you're just going to spend it on dumb stuff. Like trading cards, videogames, and crystal meth." XD

Oh yeah, I remember seeing some of Duel Masters! Dude, now THAT is taking severe liberties with the script. But it was funny, so. XD
