Seriously, I've been having a hankerin' for some Tosh x Shu fanfic (at least, fanfic in a language I can READ ^^;) for a while, and it's been particularly strong this week. So I attempt a Google search and... zip. Nada. No dice. Curse you world, curse you!

(Then again, I suppose that's better than the opposite - them becoming TOO popular, and having their characterization bastardized to the point that all your zest for the coupling is sucked right out of you - kind of like how Red claims clowns eat your soul.)

On the positive side, I did find this chick's blog during my search, because she not only likes the pairing, but was nifty enough to make some small transcripts of their slashiest moments together. So, in case [livejournal.com profile] chaoscheebs (or myself) need to refer to a particular moment for some reason and we're too lazy to play the scene for ourselves pressed for time, or in case any of the rest of y'all are interested in why I'm so obsessed with this coupling, here you go:

Transcript of the Houfion scene from Arc2, after Danny gets hurt
Transcript of parts of Alec & co.'s first two meetings with Tosh in Arc3
Transcript of Tosh and Shu's first run-in (after several years) in Arc3, and the conversation that ensues later on in the story when recovering the Water Sphere

Enjoy. Hope someone else sees why these two are so definitely slashy. >D

In other news, I went to that conference thing back on Sunday. It was alright, actually fairly entertaining even for a non-religious type like me. Didn't get to talk to Elvira much though, as I was a few minutes late and wasn't able to find her until the end of the whole thing, and she had to go home to work on some English paper. She said perhaps we might go out later this week to make up for it, though.

Other than that, not all that much going on... well, I did get volumes 2 and 3 of the Ragnarok manga today - no nice ass-shots of Fenris Fenrir like the one from the first volume, but it's an entertaining enough read, and Loki's got a cute face (more of a "standard bishie" cute, but pleasant enough). I also got the first volume of Great Teacher Onizuka, since I had heard it mentioned in passing by [livejournal.com profile] arcian during some of the late-night group chats, and all I can say is.... wow, I love it already. I mean, it's not just the fact that the show is a riot, or that Eikichi (Onizuka's first name) is a hyperhyper nutzoid, it's not the fact that he's voiced by Takagi Wataru, or the fact that the first kid he befriends in the school he's hired at is an RPG geek. No, what completely won me over in the end was a simple case of product plugging/cameo:

THEY MENTIONED WILD ARMS IN THE FIRST CONVERSATION BETWEEN ONIZUKA AND THE RPG GEEK.
And not only by name, but ALSO BY PICTURE.

I will now sit in the corner and wait for Chibs to tell me she went and bought the first DVD for this sole reason, because I expect no less of her. XD

No, I didn't get that DVD. I've only _heard_ about that. *sigh* But if I _DID_ see it, you know I _would_ get it! Nothing less to be expected from THE WA fangirl!

About the Tosh/Shu (or Shu/Tosh, whichever) thing... Are you trying to subtly push me to writing that certain little thing...? >)

*LOL* There's plenty of other reasons aside from the WA box cameo to like in GTO. Remind me to make a disc with the first few eps so you can judge for yourself. I also recommend the manga version btw (no WA plugging, but still a riot), which you should be able to find wherever it is you buy your manga. :D

Tosh x Shu, Shu x Tosh, I don't freakin' care by now.* The world just needs some porn with those two already, dammit! >D

Oh, almost forgot: You thought my original comment about Tosh x Shu was "subtly pushing?" ^^;
